“and if someday you’re lonely, or someday you’re sad, or you strike out at baseball, or think you’ve been bad… just lift your face, feel the wind in your hair. That’s me, my sweet baby, my love is right there”
People think depression is about being sad. They think it’s just when you ‘feel down’. It’s not it’s like a darkness that creeps over you and fills you. It drains all your emotions. It takes everything from you, and leaves you feeling hollow and numb. It’s not sadness, it’s not anger, it’s hopelessness. Imagine waking up and there being no colour. Walking outside and feeling no wind. Eating a meal and not tasting anything. Holding someone and feeling completely alone at the same time. When you’re depressed, it’s not a bad mood. It’s a numb, empty, hollowness that seems to never leave. It’s feeling alone in a room full of people. You feel like there’s no hope left.
if you think nobody cares, you are wrong - Just give a sign!
And maybe read this blog - it’s simly a list of little things, that makes life worth living - And I know this has helped a lot of people, including me.

Do you cut?
The butterfly project:
1. When you feel like you want to cut, take a marker, pen, or sharpies and draw a butterfly on your arm or hand.
2. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that really wants you to get better.
3. You must let the butterfly fade naturally. NO scrubbing it off.
4. If you cut before the butterfly is gone, you’ve killed it. If you dont cut, it lives.
5. If you have more than one butterfly, cutting kills all of them.
6. Another person may draw them on you. These butterflies are extra special. Take good care of them.
7. Even if you don’t cut, feel free to draw a butterfly anyways, to show your support. If you do this, name it after someone you know that cuts or is suffering right now, and tell them. It could help.
